Become a Kindle Girly: How I Converted Myself to My Kindle
Okay, I was one of those girls who said that reading a digital book just doesn't compare to a physical copy. I love the smell of brand new books. I love turning the pages. I love cute book covers. I love annotating. I never thought that I would love reading books on my Kindle more than physical copies but... here we are. And I'm going teach you not only why you will love reading on a Kindle, but how you can start enjoying digital reading. Let's get into it!!
First off, I want to write a disclaimer that I still love physical books. I love to collect books and would love to have a little in home library one day. Though, my Kindle has made reading so convenient. It is such a pain to have to bring books with you when you are traveling. They take up so much space and can be heavy. With my Kindle, I have all my books on there and I can read any of them at any given moment. All I have to bring is my Kindle. Reading a book at night can also be a pain. When I was younger, I used to leave the hallway light on so that there was just enough light for me to read past my bedtime. I have tried a book light, but I personally find them annoying. Your Kindle is bright enough that you can read with the lights off. And its COMFORTABLE. You can change the brightness and whiteness of the light so it isn't so harsh on your eyes. I absolutely love it.
Now I know what you're thinking: Doesn't the screen bother your eyes? Personally, I spend way too much time in front of screens. Though, when I read on my Kindle, it really doesn't feel like I'm staring at a screen. The Kindle mimics real paper so it doesn't feel damaging to your eyes. Like I mentioned above, you can change the brightness and whiteness of the Kindle to protect your eyes as well.
Are you a little more persuaded? Let me explain another reason why I love my Kindle: You can decorate it!! It is so fun to decorate your Kindle with a cute case, stickers, a pop-socket, etc.!! My Kindle is such a cute accessory and its so cute that it makes me excited to read!
When you purchase books on a Kindle, they are usually cheaper than the physical books. This is great for someone like me who loves to own books but can't afford to be buying so many books every single week. My Kindle allows me to buy and own books without breaking the bank. It also allows you to organize your Kindle Library into collections. You can put all of your fantasy books in a section, all of your romance in another, etc. This is great if you love keeping your things organized and labeled.
Again, I still think that physical books are amazing. But a Kindle also has so many benefits depending on your circumstances and mood. I 100% encourage you to give it a chance!! You might turn out to love it, just like I did.
